Well, as of 7:00 pm here in my little part of the world we have had 4 and 20/100 inches of rain. Most of it a little less than an inch an hour and only occasionally hard down pours. Glad I was not up in the DFW area those poor folks got 'purty near washed away.

Yup. You could lose things in them cracks. Tools and animals and stuff. Little dogs and cats are in danger in Collin County, Texas when it's dry.

We can use some rain here as well. Not too much since we are down in a hole. Now I'll get to mow the yard again.

Yep getting some heavy stuff here this afternoon and that's good because we really need it. Collin County went under a burn ban last week.

Kreacher, we'll be praying that all is okay with your scan. I get sick just thinking about going for a check-up.
WB, you are timing the completion of your drip system just right. As I am posting Houston is getting hammered with rain and flooding starting to happen. I have had a little over a quarter inch so far this morning, with predictions of rain through Wednesday. Glad your project is working out as you had planned. 7 - The Young at Heart Gang / Lounge / Re: How I spent my Labor Day week-endStarted by redhorse - Last post by wendallb on: September 07, 2010, 07:20:25 AM
Sounds like you had a successful trip to Canton. That is a good deal.
You are just a sucker for shepherds, I know!! I spent Sat. and Monday working on my drip watering system and I am just about done. Should be done next weekend if it don't get too muddy. Also worked on a couple of websites over the weekend, there is always something to do around my place. Hope everyone has a great week... 8 - The Young at Heart Gang / Lounge / Re: How I spent my Labor Day week-endStarted by redhorse - Last post by Kreacher on: September 06, 2010, 09:51:53 PM
Sounds like a good weekend. You sure you didn't miscount the pups? Maybe you had 11 ... or someone slipped one in on you.
![]() I stayed home. Wife went to the store and spent the income for the month on groceries. Gotta go tomorrow and spend the rest of what we don't have for the rest of the groceries we need. Then I get to go have a CT scan done. Lots of fun. Glad you made some off the pups. 9 - The Young at Heart Gang / Lounge / How I spent my Labor Day week-endStarted by redhorse - Last post by redhorse on: September 06, 2010, 06:08:20 PM
I just read WB's economy post in the lounge and thought I would add my two cents. I spent Saturday and Sunday from 8to5 selling a litter of pups. I met a lot of people at the Canton Trades Day meet and tired and hoarse I am. Some know how I hate to talk (snicker) and yes I did. The discussions covered weather, fleas, politics, you name it and it was talked about. I did bring dogs into the discussion when I could. I met a great bunch of people from all walks of life and professions. Policemen, farmers, ranchers, stay home moms (didn't know there were any still around), and mostly just folks trying to make a living. I sold nine out of ten pups and only brought two home. I know you think my addition is bad but that is what happened. A little thirteen week old solid black short-haired female shepherd some how found her way into the back of the Tucson when I started home. The only thing Pat said (and that's about all she has said) I thought you were thinking of down sizing. I had a good time and made a little money. The economy is slow, but lucky me I found a small movement.
